Renewal

Once again I am sitting in my chair at my desk. Now I will tell you that I started this over two hours ago but the sun comes right through the window. It felt so good that I sat back to take it all in. Very relaxing! I’ve been told that if I were a cat I would have been purring:)

As I sit here trying to take in the warmth of the sun I was thinking about the last two weeks. I know that for some of us life starts again tomorrow. Schools go back in session and some of us go back to our regular jobs.

You know - I don’t want to go back yet. I miss being with the kids but I’m tired. This has not been a restful vacation for me. I need a vacation from my vacation;)

Do you ever feel that way? Do you ever wish that you had a button you could push so that you could stop the merry-go-round anytime you wanted? I do and if you are honest you have those days too.

So, what do we do when we face a day like that? Well, for me - today - I fell asleep in the sun or at least dozed off for a few. But from a spiritual standpoint we do the same. We find our rest in Him. We renew our strength as we spend time with Him. We gain renewed vision for His purpose not ours

Think I better try and get some things done - thanks for letting me spend this time with you. You know something - I pray that each one of you will remember that despite your circumstances - God is still God - and as we keep our eyes focused up on Him He will give us times of refreshment. Times when we can bask in the warmth of His light ~ a very restful and relaxing place to be.
