Serving Others

I pray this finds you all with your eyes on Him.

One more day!

Friday is coming!

Hang in there!

My heart is still on many things tonight - many people. Many who are struggling - many who are being tested by fire. Ever meet someone who seems to stand up above the storm? They are able to give to others with such ease despite the storms that maybe dashing them against the rocks? Well I have! I have been blessed to know a few that I can call friend. But for tonight I have a couple I would like to talk with you about.

Maybe you know someone like this? I hope you do!

Both of these ladies would much rather be in the background and not be noticed. They willingly and faithfully serve others sacrificially. Sometimes at great expense to themselves.

Whether it is the cost of sleep, the cost of emotion or the cost of time ~

But they don’t see it as a cost. They see it as a privilege to serve those whom God brings along.

I have watched them lovingly and firmly (at times) reach out to others even when their own soul was churning. They have even come alongside me and set their own needs aside to sit with me - pray with me - to cry with me - to point me eyes upward. I consider it such an honor to know them, to serve with them in ministry and to call them friend.

Do you know someone like this?

Do you have people in your life that challenge you to keep your eyes up?

People that live their Christian life in such a way that it causes you to want to know God more?

Humm~

Don’t know about you but that is the kind of influence I want in my life. I want to challenge you to two things:

1. Keep your eyes up - make Him your focus - not the people or the circumstances around you.

2. Ask God to show you one person that you can be a servant too.

Bet that is not what you were expecting! But I have found that when we keep Him first asking Him to show us how to meet the needs of those around us we will find that in turn our own needs are met.

Go ahead!

I dare you to try it!

Your life will never be the same!
