By the time you all read this it will be Friday morning but
for me it is still Thursday. Still have a little over an hour left. Didn’t mean
to write this so late but had an unexpected treat tonight. I spent the evening
with a very good heart friend. Wasn’t planned - was a spur of the moment deal.
But is sure was nice.
I think tonight I am feeling a bit overwhelmed by the people
God has brought into my life. I am very blessed and feeling unworthy of all
those that God has put in my path.
If it’s okay with you though I would like to tell you about
this friend~ One of the nice things about heart friends is you tend to pick up
as if no time has past. Now this is someone who I see quite often. I have the
privilege of serving with her at the Bible Study I attend. We have been friends
for just about 14-15 years maybe. She has walked with me through many a storms.
I am so very grateful to God for putting her in my life.
And you know?? We didn’t do anything spectacular - we didn’t
go and spend lots of money - What we did do?? We sat at the computer for a few
trying to find something that should have been there and wasn’t. We sat at the
table eating dinner. We sat in the family room eating popcorn with lots of
butter:). The TV was on but we weren’t watching it. We talked about heart
matters and house matters. We talked about Bible Study and school study. We
talked about friends and wanna be friends:). We talked about ... Oh a little bit of everything.
We had a nice time enjoying each others company and as I was
driving home I was so grateful for what God had done. He gave me a very
wonderful gift tonight - a wonderful and unexpected surprise. It reminded me
that He loves us so much that He is always ready to give us those unexpected
surprises and then sits back to watch! Waiting to see the joy and the smile on
our faces. Then rejoices with us!
God loves us so very much - He longingly waits to reveal
Himself to us. He provides a need sometimes even before we know we need it:)
Thanks be to God for His love and for those unexpected gifts! And thanks be to
God for surrounding me with those who love me unconditionally ~ without
reservation ~ and walk along side no matter the weather.
Won’t you look for His unexpected gift to you tonight? He is
just waiting to give it to you! Trust me ... You will never be the same:)
